Job Type: Part-time (3 days per week)
Pay: $114.03 – $123.43 per hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday

Position Overview:
Sun River Health is seeking a Part-Time Site Medical Director for our Bedford Avenue location in Brooklyn, NY. This leadership position is a part-time role (3 days per week) and will involve overseeing clinical operations, providing direct patient care, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care delivery. The Site Medical Director will also supervise medical providers, contribute to quality improvement initiatives, and ensure that patient care meets Sun River Health’s standards of excellence.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Patient Care: Provide diagnosis, treatment, and preventive care for patients in your specialty area, ensuring evidence-based practices are followed.
• Supervision and Collaboration: Oversee the clinical work of nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other staff members, ensuring high-quality care and accurate documentation.
• Quality Improvement: Lead and participate in quality improvement activities such as peer reviews, audits, and focused reviews to improve clinical outcomes and service delivery.
• Preventive Care Standards: Develop and implement standards for preventive care and diagnostic screening, ensuring patients receive timely and effective health interventions.
• Patient Referrals: Coordinate care and manage referrals to specialists or other healthcare providers as needed.
• Clinical Oversight: Review clinical activities, protocols, and follow-up procedures to maintain a high level of clinical performance across the site.
• Hospital and After-Hours Coverage: Provide coverage for off-hours and hospital care for patients as needed to ensure 24/7 care availability.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and compliant medical records for all patients, in line with regulatory standards.
• Team Collaboration: Actively participate in provider meetings and collaborate with the broader team to improve patient care and satisfaction.

Minimum Education and Qualifications:

• Education: Doctorate Degree (MD, DO, or equivalent).
• Licensure: Board Certification (preferred) and valid Medical License.
• Experience: Prior experience in a leadership role, with experience supervising clinical teams preferred.

Skills & Knowledge:

• Expertise in diagnostic and treatment procedures for primary care or specialty care.
• Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality care.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred but not required.
• Ability to commute to Yonkers, NY (preferred).
