Position Overview:
Sun River Health is seeking a compassionate, board-certified OB/GYN Physician to join our growing women’s health practice in Brooklyn, NY. We offer both full-time and part-time opportunities in a dynamic, integrated care setting. Our practice currently consists of two highly trained OB/GYN Physicians and certified nurse midwives, ensuring a balanced mix of OB and GYN patients. This role offers the opportunity to perform major gynecological surgeries while providing high-quality obstetric care. The ideal candidate will be passionate about women’s health, dedicated to patient care, and eager to contribute to a growing team of healthcare professionals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Patient Care:
- Provide comprehensive OB/GYN care, including prenatal, postnatal, and gynecological services.
- Perform a variety of obstetric and gynecological procedures, including major surgeries, in both office and hospital settings.
- Manage and care for a diverse patient population in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Maintain high standards of care and adhere to clinical guidelines and protocols.

Collaboration & Teamwork:
- Work closely with fellow OB/GYN physicians, certified nurse midwives, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure the best patient outcomes.
- Participate in regular meetings and collaborate with other healthcare providers to improve patient care and operational efficiency.

On-Call & Scheduling:
- Participate in on-call rotations for obstetric and gynecological services.
- Manage patient appointments and ensure timely follow-up for all OB/GYN procedures.

Patient Education:
- Educate patients on women’s health issues, family planning, prenatal care, and gynecological health.
- Provide emotional support and counseling to patients, ensuring they understand their health conditions and treatment options.
Qualifications and Skills:

Required:
- Current NYS medical license to practice as an OB/GYN.
- Board certification or board eligibility in OB/GYN (new graduates with strong surgical skills are encouraged to apply).
- Experience in performing major gynecological surgeries and managing obstetric care in a hospital setting.
- Ability to work flexible office and hospital hours, including on-call duties.

- Bilingual skills (Spanish/English) are a plus but not required.
- Experience working in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) or community health setting is advantageous.
