Job Title: Part-Time Cardiologist – Bronx, NY (Split Position)
Location: Sun River Health, Bronx Blvd and St. Ann’s Avenue locations
Job Type: Part-Time (Flexible schedule, split between two locations)
Pay: $119.00 – $142.68 per hour (Commensurate with experience and experience)
Schedule: Monday to Friday

Position Overview:
We are seeking a Part-Time Cardiologist to join our dedicated healthcare team, serving our Bronx Blvd and St. Ann’s Avenue locations. This is a split position, providing the opportunity to serve diverse communities while working in a flexible, part-time capacity. The Cardiologist will be responsible for diagnosing and treating cardiovascular conditions, performing procedures, and educating patients to manage their heart health.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Patient Care: Conduct thorough physical examinations and assessments to diagnose cardiovascular conditions.
• Diagnostic Procedures: Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as ECGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, and cardiac imaging.
• Treatment Plans: Develop and prescribe treatment plans, including medications and lifestyle changes, to manage cardiovascular health.
• Cardiac Procedures: Perform diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac procedures, including catheterizations, angioplasty, and stent placements.
• Patient Education: Educate patients and families about heart disease prevention, treatment options, and healthy lifestyle choices.
• Monitor Progress: Track patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal care outcomes.
• Collaborate: Work closely with other healthcare providers, including primary care teams, to ensure comprehensive care.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and compliant patient records, ensuring all legal and regulatory requirements are met.
• Continuous Education: Participate in ongoing professional development and quality improvement initiatives to stay up-to-date with advances in cardiology.

Minimum Education and Qualifications:

• Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) with a specialization in Cardiology.
• Licensure: Valid and active license to practice as a Cardiologist in New York State.
• Certifications: Board Certification in Cardiology (preferred), BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certifications.
• Experience: 5-8 years of clinical experience in cardiology, ideally within an FQHC or similar healthcare setting.

Required Skills & Knowledge:

• Proficient in performing diagnostic tests and procedures for cardiovascular conditions.
• In-depth knowledge of current guidelines and best practices in cardiology.
• Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to educate patients and collaborate with the healthcare team.
• Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of care.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred, but not required.
