Location: Bedford Health Center, Brooklyn, NY
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: $93,190.50 – $100,000.00 per year, depending on education and experience, plus a $15,000 Administrative Stipend
Schedule: 8-hour shift, Monday through Friday

Position Overview:
Sun River Health is currently seeking a full-time A31 Clinical Program Director for our Bedford Health Center in Brooklyn, NY. The Program Director will provide leadership and direct program operations, ensuring that high-quality client services are delivered in alignment with New York State Department of Health AIDS Institute requirements and Sun River Health policies and standards. The Program Director will supervise staff, manage program performance, and coordinate with other departments to ensure the successful operation of the clinical program. This role is crucial for overseeing client care, ensuring compliance, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Leadership & Supervision:
- Recruit, supervise, develop, and evaluate administrative, case management, and clinical staff.
- Conduct performance management activities, including appraisals, documentation, coaching, and disciplinary actions.
- Oversee client intakes and discharges, ensuring compliance with agency and regulatory requirements.
- Provide clinical supervision and in-service training for clinical staff.
- Ensure staff meets regulatory standards (e.g., OMH) and support ongoing professional development.
- Manage employee time and attendance requests.

Program Operations & Compliance:
- Ensure program services are delivered according to New York State Department of Health AIDS Institute regulations and Sun River Health policies.
- Oversee quality assurance reviews and ensure compliance with program metrics and performance indicators.
- Implement corrective action plans when necessary to address performance deficiencies.
- Maintain confidentiality and compliance with HIV/AIDS and substance abuse confidentiality regulations.
- Ensure that billable services meet or exceed weekly quotas and that case management targets are achieved.

Community & Stakeholder Relations:
- Build and maintain relationships with community agencies and referral partners.
- Participate in inter-agency and community meetings and committees to advocate for the program and address community needs.

Administrative & Reporting Responsibilities:
- Provide statistical and other reports as requested by the Vice President or designee.
- Monitor and ensure client Private Health Information (PHI) is managed securely in both paper and electronic formats.
- Direct and coordinate staff training programs, both internal and outsourced, to meet compliance and program objectives.

Operational Oversight:
- Collaborate with the Department of Environmental Services to ensure program site security, operations, and safety.
- Analyze program performance to forecast future resource needs and ensure continued program effectiveness.
Education and Qualifications:

Required Education:
- LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) and a Master’s Degree in a related field.
- CPR/BLS certification.

Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience supervising clinical and administrative staff.
- Proven experience in a leadership role within a clinical setting, preferably in an HIV/AIDS or substance abuse program.

Preferred Skills & Knowledge:
- Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred.
- Experience with performance management, compliance audits, and quality assurance in a clinical environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments and with community partners.
